In micro-needling, the principle is based on the production of microtraums, very small injuries to the skin, which then reacts with the formation of collagen and elastin within the framework of its regenerative mechanism.

Contrary to older procedures, such as the treatment with needle rollers, which damage the skin relatively uncontrolled, we work at Elke’s Day Spa with the microprocessor-controlled digital-pop®.

Micro-lifting movements are carried out with the handpiece, which move the sterile needle attachment over the skin over 100 times per second. Depending on the skin, the penetration depth of the extremely fine needles can be adjusted infinitely. The resulting microtraums stimulate in the depth the healing processes, which in turn leads to the formation of collagen – the tissue becomes firmer and your skin looks younger.

Side effects:
Skin redness, which subsides after a few hours. Slight swellings and bruises are possible, which also disappear quickly. Even slight burning and itching are possible. In some patients, slight skin peels were observed after about 3 days, indicating increased skin renewal and should be considered positive.

Behavior after Microneedling treatment:
In the first 24 hours the treated areas shouldn’t be touched unnecessarily, please avoid sun and solarium for 7 days as well as extreme heat and cold.

Duration of treatment:
60 minutes consisting of skin cleansing, disinfection, Microneedling with the DermaPen, tranquilizer mask, final care.

If you are sensitive to pain, we recommend superficially numbing the skin. You can get that with us, additional costs 12 €, at this time the duration of treatment is extended by about 30 minutes. However, if you do not want to spend your time, you can apply the commercially available EMLA ointment (available in every pharmacy) about 40 minutes before the treatment a little thicker (especially around the eyes), let it move in and so come to us.

The patient will experience some redness and swelling that might last between 2 to 3 days. This advanced skin treatment can safely be performed on darker skin types (as opposed to many other skin treatments that may not be used on dark skin), is a relatively quick process and can be performed on a Friday and by Monday the patient is ready to go back to regular make up and skin care.
